Available in e-book and paperback.

Long ago, the land of Arden fell under siege to the Dark Dragon. One warrior arose to vanquish this evil, and in doing so, sacrificed his own life. This warrior became known as the Light Prince, and he slew the great evil with his legendary sword Grail.

Centuries later, a young girl named Amber stumbles into Arden from our world. There, an evil wizard seeks to resurrect the Dark Dragon and destroy this magical land. Unless Amber can find and master Grail, Arden is doomed to fall into darkness. To prevail, Amber must find faith in herself, her new friends, and the Light Prince.

Characters

Amber

“Look. I don’t know what’s going on. I just know it’s not real. I’m probably still sleeping. That’s it. I fell asleep on the couch, and I’m dreaming.”

Amber faces problems many teenagers face. Her mother passed away. Her family moved from her childhood home. She lives in a new house in a new town and attends a new school. And she stumbled into a magical fantasy world. Now she must wield the legendary sword Grail to save it from the Dark Dragon. Okay, so maybe not all her problems are typical for a teenager, yet she must face them. Fortunately, she has new friends to help her.

Johanna

“Do not search with your eyes, child. Open your heart, and you will uncover the truth.”

When the Dark Army sieged Johanna’s village, she lost everything. She lost her home, her husband, her family—everything! Yet even in her darkest moments, the she-elf keeps the light of faith glowing strong in her heart. After all, light shines brightest in the darkest of places. Through her unyielding belief in herself and others, Johanna hopes to train Amber in the art of swordplay and combat so she may learn to have faith in herself and wield the legendary sword, Grail. With a skilled swordswoman and healer as her mentor, Amber is in good hands.

Fiona

“Amber, you have to believe. You must. If not for yourself, then for your sister. Do it for Chelsea!”

Fiona may be a tiny fairy, but everything else about her is big. She has a big heart for her friends and homeland of Arden. She has considerable courage to stand up for what is right and face foes larger than her. And she has great faith in her new friend, Amber, as she learns to wield the legendary sword Grail and defeat the great evil threatening Arden. Amber may not have confidence in herself, but Fiona has faith in her—and magic fairy dust, of course, which always comes in handy!

Tyler

“Well, if one of us has to use this magic sword and defeat the evil wizard, it only makes sense that I’m the one to do it. After all, I’m much stronger and more athletic than someone like you—no offense!”

Tyler lives in a family of success stories. His mother is a doctor. His father is a lawyer. His older brother received an athletic college scholarship. His younger brother consistently makes the honor roll. And yet he can’t manage to catch a break. He never gets good grades, and he never makes the team. So when he meets his new friend, Amber, his whole world is literally turned upside down. Together, they both discover a magical fantasy world under siege by an ancient evil. He, too, must seek the sword Grail—and if he succeeds, perhaps he can overcome his other shortcomings.
